RUSSIA-UKRAINE-FLEET-INFRASTRUCTURE

Sevastopol, April 27 (Interfax-AVN) – Control over parts of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s infrastructure in Sevastopol could be transferred to Ukraine, a Russian fleet spokesman told Interfax-AVN.

“The joint Russian-Ukrainian group responsible for an inventory of the land plots and property leased by the Russian Black Sea Fleet completed its negotiations in Sevastopol on Friday. A bilateral protocol was signed by Ambassadors of the Russian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministries Alexander Bovykin and Viktor Semenov,” he said.

At the meeting, the sides discussed which facilities and land plots owned by the Russian Black Sea Fleet could be transferred to Ukraine, as well as capital repairs of the fleet’s buildings, the spokesman said.
