Dnipropetrovsk, April 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Dnipropetrovsk police are now checking garbage bins in the city center for explosive devices, an Interfax correspondent has reported from Dnipropetrovsk.

There are problems with cell phone communication in the city, the Interfax correspondent has reported, adding that the problems could have been caused by the high number of calls made by city residents to their relatives to check if they are OK. There is also information that mobile communication could be blocked by the law enforcement agencies to prevent signals from being sent to set off explosives.

Ambulances are seen near the city’s schools and places where many people normally gather in the city.

There are rumors that there were more than four explosions. However, this information is not officially confirmed.
