RUSSIA-DPRK-UN-RESOLUTION
Moscow, April 13 (Interfax) – North Korea’s rocket launch runs counter to decisions adopted by the UN Security Council, a Russian Foreign Ministry source told Interfax.
“UNSC Resolution 1874 demands directly that the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] refrain from any launches that involve ballistic missiles. It applies both to military and civilian launches,” he said.
The launch of a Unha-3 rocket carrying a satellite, which was conducted by Pyongyang on Friday, ended in failure.
