Donetsk, June 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The national football team of Spain has arrived in Donetsk.
As reported by the press service of the host city, the airplane with the Spanish team on board has landed at Donetsk International Airport.
Team coach Vicente del Bosque exited the plane first. Donetsk Mayor Oleksandr Lukyanchenko welcomed him and presented him with the host city pennant and a traditional round loaf.
After the welcoming ceremony, the team and the coach staff headed for the Victoria Hotel, where they will stay at least until tomorrow.
The Donbas Arena stadium will host the Euro 2012 quarter-final match between Spain and France on Saturday, June 23, at 2145.
