Special Communications Service to implement Ukraine-Tajik agreement on information protection instead of SBU

UKRAINE-PARLIAMENT-TAJIKISTAN-COMMUNICATION

Kyiv, July 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian parliament has ratified a protocol between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and government of the Republic of Tajikistan to make amendments to an agreement between them on cooperation in technical protection of information.

A total of 262 MPs of the 268 registered for voting at Verkhovna Rada supported the corresponding decision.

The protocol, which was signed in Kyiv on December 15, 2011, makes amendments to Article 1 of the current agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and government of Tajik Republic in the sphere of the technical protection of information (it was signed on April 2, 2004 and ratified by the Ukrainian parliament on September 7, 2005).

According to this protocol, now the Administration of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine will be responsible for the implementation of the Ukrainian-Tajik agreement instead of the Security Service of Ukraine.
