Moscow, July 19 (Interfax) – Russian President Vladimir Puint has promised that those who attacked the mufti of Tatarstan and killed his deputy will not escape punishment.

“I’ve just talked to the FSB [Federal Security Service] director. The law enforcement bodies will do everything to find, expose and punish the criminals. I am sure that this will inevitably happen,” he said.

The Kazan attacks are “another reminder that the situation in our country is far from ideal,” Putin said.

“Together with you and all the political forces that want to strengthen the unity of the Russian state, to ensure order, so as to enable people to live and raise their children calmly, and got the economy to develop – we should all analyze the situation in our country very carefully, and while making decisions, we should always think about the wellbeing of the people”, Putin said.

He said the people’s concerns should prevail over corporate and party interests.
