UKRAINE-RUSSIA-SUMMIT
Yalta, July 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine would like to join the G20 summit in Saint Petersburg in 2013, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
While opening the fifth meeting of Ukraine-Russia Interstate Commission in Yalta on Thursday, he noted that Russia would chair G20 in 2013.
“Of course, it would be interesting for us to take part in the summit, considering various aspects of our cooperation and the fact that everything changes in this fast-moving world, and, as they say, we shouldn’t waste time,” Yanukovych said.
He added that Ukraine is eager to develop relations at the international level and “have a sense of the pulse of events, and be ready to face challenges in various situations.”
