UKRAINE-FOREIGN-MINISTER-EUROPEAN-UNION
Kyiv, March 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian foreign minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko has called opposition not to hinder, but to promote Ukraine’s integration with the European Union.
“I understand that our efforts aim at stopping the signing of the [Association] Agreement under any pretence,” Hryschenko said at the Shuster Live TV program late on Friday.
The minister said that the efforts are made in the interests of a concrete political force, and now it is clear that they do not give the result which someone figured on.
He added that Ukraine is a principally important country for European partners.
“I believe that we should unite in the issue, as everyone [in Ukraine] needs this [Ukraine's integration with the EU],” the minister said.
