Kyiv, August 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) has rejected media reports, according to which AUB President Oleksandr Suhoniako was registered as a parliamentary candidate from Vitali Klitschko’s UDAR Party.
The media spread information that Suhoniako was registered as a candidate for majority constituency No. 158 in Sumy region from the UDAR Party, reads the official statement.
According to AUB President Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Suhoniako, “this information is untrustworthy, as the parliamentary candidate for majority constituency No. 158 Oleksandr Leonidovych Suhoniako is just a namesake and he has no relation to him [the AUB president] personally or the Association of Ukrainian Banks.”
