UKRAINE-CEC-LAWMAKERS-REGISTRATION
Kyiv, November 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Central Election Commission of Ukraine has registered 262 people’s deputies.
At its meeting on Friday, the CEC registered 44 people’s deputies, including 21 elected on party lists and 23 elected in single-seat constituencies.
In particular, the commission registered 13 MPs from the party ticket of the Batkivschyna United Opposition, including Oleksandr Turchynov (No. 4 on the list), Arsen Avakov (No. 24), Serhiy Vlasenko (No. 20), Lilia Hrynevych (No. 14), Mustafa Dzhemilev (No. 12), and Mykola Martynenko (No. 17).
Six MPs from the party list of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian union were registered, including Andriy Mokhnyk (No. 3), Ihor Miroshnychenko (No. 4), Oleksandr Shevchenko (No. 5), Yuriy Syrotiuk (No. 14).
The CEC registered two MPs from the Party of Regions’ list: Oleh Shablatovych (No. 55) and Vilena Shatvorian (No. 67).
In addition, the CEC registered 23 lawmakers elected in single-seat constituencies: nine from the Party of Regions, six from the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Union, two from Svoboda and six self-nominees.
In particular, the commission registered Yevhen Kartashov of the Party of Regions (constituency 76), Iryna Kupreichyk from the Batkivschyna (constituency 162), Mykhailo Apostol from the Batkivschyna (constituency 166), Volodymyr Aryev from the Batkivschyna (constituency 218), Oleh Osukhovsky from the Svoboda (constituency 152), Yuriy Mykhalchyshyn from the Svoboda (constituency 118), self-nominee Ihor Yeremeyev (constituency 23), self-nominee Oleksandr Doniy (constituency 88), and self-nominee Ihor Markov (constituency 133).
Thus, 262 out of the total of 445 elected MPs were registered.
The registration of lawmakers will continue at the next meeting of the CEC on Monday, November 26.
