Foreign Ministry: Ukrainians not injured in Croatia fires

Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – There are no Ukrainian citizens among the victims of forest fires in Croatia, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

“The Ukrainian Embassy in Croatia found that there are no injured Ukrainian citizens. The Ukrainian embassy has not received any requests for assistance,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told Interfax-Ukraine.

He added that the Foreign Ministry was continuing to monitor this situation.

As reported, a firefighter died and 1,500 tourists were evacuated after forest fires fanned by strong winds broke out on Croatia’s Adriatic coast on Monday, July 23.
