Georgia to train mountain infantry for Ukraine

Kyiv, November 23 (Ukraine General News) – Ukrainian troops will start being trained in Georgia next year as mountain infantry, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Yezhel said on Tuesday.

“Next year about 50 of our troops will start undergoing training in Georgia,” Yezhel told a briefing.

The Ukrainian servicemen would be trained at a mountain infantry training center, he said.

The minister said it is “very much in the interest” of Ukraine to have mountain infantry.
