Putin does not expect disputes with foreign partners over fuel contracts on New Year’s

Moscow, December 29 (Ukraine General News) – Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expects that all contracts with foreign partners on fuel deliveries will be observed and foreign partners will not come up with any surprises on New Year’s.

“Today we have understandings with all of our main partners that we will be working in the framework of existing agreements. We have contracts with all of our key partners and with our neighbors, with Ukraine and Belarus. These are effective contracts, signed and observed,” he told the press on Wednesday.

Putin voiced hope that there will be no attempts to revise the contracts.

“In many respects we met our partners halfway, we did much and that cost us much money,” he recalled.

“We paid Ukraine for [the stay of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in] Sevastopol an enormous sum and will continue paying,” he said.
