UKRAINE-FINANCE-MINISTRY-FINANCING-REQUEST
Kyiv, August 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Ministry hopes to obtain UAH 41 billion from the state budget in 2013, Construction Minister Anatoliy Blyzniuk has said.
“We have provided a request for UAH 41 billion in 2013,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
Blyzniuk noted that he did not expect the ministry’s request for budget funds to be approved in full.
“I understand that such an amount [UAH 41 billion] will not be allocated… However, there is legislation that says that I, as a minister, have to do it and I propose that we make a list of what we have to do and assess how much it costs,” he added.
He said that expenditures on the implementation of a state affordable housing program next year, according to the ministry’s budget request, had been announced at UAH 2 billion, compared to UAH 1 billion in 2012.
As reported, in October 2011, the budget request of the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Ministry for 2012 was estimated at UAH 27 billion. Blyzniuk, in turn, expected funding for the ministry at a level of UAH 6-7 billion.
