Kyiv, November 3 (Ukraine General News) – The Regions Party will get a 42-seat majority at Kharkiv Regional Council, the head of the regional election commission, Oleksandr Rusanov, told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.
He said that the commission had currently processed the results at 23 out of 34 territorial election commissions (67.7%). According to the results, in multi-member constituencies the Regions Party will receive 42 mandates, the Batkivschyna Party 9, the Communist Party of Ukraine 6, the Strong Ukraine Party 4, the Socialist Party of Ukraine 2, and the Front for Change Party 2. In single-member constituencies, the commission processed the results at 42 out of 68 constituencies. The Regions Party won in 36 of them, Strong Ukraine in two, the People’s Party in two, the Socialist Party in one, and the Batkivschyna Party in one.
Rusanov said that the commission would determine the results of the elections to the regional council by November 5.
