Some 50 Ukrainians to be evacuate from Syria, says Foreign Ministry

UKRAINE-SYRIA-EVACUATION

Kyiv, August 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – About 50 people will come back to Ukraine from Syria soon, according to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

According to Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov, the Ukrainian Embassy in Syria is working to evacuate Ukrainian citizens because of dangerous situation in the country, and is composing lists of Ukrainians who want to return home.

According to Dykusarov, some 50 Ukrainians will take regular flights to return home with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration.

A total of 239 people have been evacuated from Syria already.
