State Customs Service cuts down number of decisions on goods customs value adjustment

Kyiv, July 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the new Customs Code came into force (June 1 2012), the Sate Customs Service of Ukraine has taken three-and-a-half times fewer decisions on adjusting the customs value of goods.

As the director of the customs control and clearance department at the State Customs Service, Serhiy Siomka, said at a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine agency on Monday, from June 1 to July 15, 2011, the department took 13,929 decisions on customs value adjustments of goods, compared to 3,882 decisions taken in the same period of this year.
