Minsk, March 23 (Ukraine General News) – Belarus will not give up the opportunity of using alternative suppliers of nuclear fuel, if there is an economic need for that, nuclear energy department director at the Belarusian Energy Ministry Nikolai Grusha said at a Wednesday press conference in Minsk.
“The agreement on the construction of the NPP implies that Russia will deliver fuel for our NPP during the entire duration of its operation but this does not mean that we will not consider the possibility of using other suppliers, if it is expedient in economic terms,” Grusha said.
He said that in the future Ukraine and China can be considered as such suppliers in addition to Russia.
