Ukraine not to review macroeconomic forecasts for 2011, says premier

Sanya (China), April 16 (Ukraine General News) – The Ukrainian government does not plan to review the macroeconomic targets for 2011, and the results of the first quarter instill confidence in this, according to Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov.

“The government expects to observe macroeconomic targets for 2011 that were set earlier – GDP growth at 5%, inflation within 10% and the deficit of the [national] budget at no more than 3%,” he said in an interview with the Bloomberg news agency on Saturday in the Chinese town of Sanya, the premier’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.

The premier made the statement, taking into account the results of Ukraine’s economic development in Q1, 2011.
