Ukrainian president signs amendments to law on tourism

UKRAINE-TOURISM-LAW

Kyiv, March 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a law amending the law on tourism, No. 4385-VI, obliging travel agencies to inform consumers about services rendered by travel firms in detail, the presidential press service has reported.

The law says travel agencies should give their clients complete information on the conditions of the provision of travel services.

According to the document, before a contract is signed, a travel agency should provide to its client the information about the tour leader, means of communications with him during a trip abroad, types of transport, time and location of intermediate stops and category of the seat in transport, etc.

The amendments to the law also lay down the procedure for the signing of agreements on tourist services and establish the responsibilities travel agencies have to their clients.
